Daniel Craig Gets the Girl
New James Bond star Daniel Craig showed off his American girlfriend to the world Tuesday night as they walked the red carpet for the premiere of Casino Royale in London.
The British actor, dressed in a tuxedo, was the perfect gentleman holding hands and escorting Satsuki Mitchell, a film producer, as he signed autographs and posed for photos with fans. Later, at the official launch party, he was spotted kissing her.
When Craig was asked who would be his ideal Bond girl, he simply pointed to Mitchell by his side and said: “This one here.”
But he was notably casual about being labeled the sexiest Bond ever. “I don’t think about it,” Craig said. “I don’t give it much thought.”
His costars and colleagues, however, gave it plenty of thought – especially Bond producer Barbara Broccoli who told PEOPLE: “He’s a perfectionist, he’s a brilliant actor, and he’s a wonderful human being. And he’s got a great bod!”
Current Bond girl, Caterina Murino, said of all the Bond men, “he is the sexy one, I’m sure.” Meanwhile, Dame Judi Dench wouldn’t comment on Craig’s attributes, laughing: “I’m old enough to be his grandmother!” However she did add: “He was divine to work with.”
Elton John, Sharon Osbourne and Paris Hilton all attended the premiere, as well as guest of honor Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who shook hands and spoke with all of the stars before the film.
At the after-party, in the famous Berkeley Square, Craig continued to sign autographs, leaning out of the VIP section to pose for photos – mostly with female fans. But the heartthrob seemed to only have eyes for Mitchell, who he has been dating for over a year – though Tuesday was the first time she’d been introduced to so many fans and the media.
When leaving the party the 007 actor took a moment to prepare for the waiting paparazzi, and in a tender moment, pulled Mitchell to him and planted a huge kiss on her lips. True confirmation that Bond always gets his girl.
Supermodel Heidi Klum Tries Her Hand at Music
It must be something in the air that which makes all celebrities sing. A couple of weeks ago, another ‘ model‘, Britain’s favorite lass Jordan, aka Katie Price, recorded a duet with her husband Peter Andre and we all know how that turned out, don’t we?
Now, Heidi also signed a recording deal with music giant Warner Music and the result of the contract (meaning, the ‘Wonderland’ material) will be released and distributed exclusively in her native country, as a sign of gratitude from the model.
Apparently, the collection will include many Christmas-themed tracks. At least the first single, which will also promote the album, is definitely a holiday one, sources from the inside say. And we have to hand it to Heidi for being among the first who started the preparations for this holiday season.
While many doubt that going into music can be a profitable action for Heidi, there still are some who say that she has proven her entrepreneurial skills all this time. Klum began her career as a model, then switched to TV presenter (the hostess of ‘Project Runaway’) and then moved on to designing women underwear, so all the good signs are out there.
George Clooney Named Sexiest Man Alive
Brad Pitt, you’ve got company.
George Clooney has been named Sexiest Man Alive for 2006 – joining his pal Pitt as a two-time winner.
“Brad’s going to be upset,” the 45-year-old Oscar winner tells PEOPLE in its special issue.
Then again, after the year Clooney’s had, his buddy will understand. Hollywood’s consummate gentleman kicked things off with an Academy Award (winning Best Supporting Actor for Syriana,) and Clooney further cemented his reputation for social activism, working on behalf of causes to help the troubled Darfur region of Sudan.
And through it all, he’s kept his sense of humor intact. “There’s a lot of pressure,” he says of the Sexiest Man Alive honor. “There are all the events you have to show up for. The sash you have to wear … is embarrassing.”
Affleck Regrets Lopez Engagement
Ben Affleck is relieved he never married ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez and admits their engagement was a mistake.
The ex-couple’s high profile relationship ended in 2004, just months after they were due to marry, a wedding that was called off at the last moment.
Affleck insists it was a mistake to propose to his girlfriend of two years.
He says, "I should never have got engaged and never gone down that route. I thought I wanted certain things, but I didn’t. I got lost and felt suffocated, miserable and gross.
"Being in the middle of a tabloid frenzy, it became so intense I had to stop and think, ‘What am I doing with my life?’ "I had to smile for the cameras, but I was really in turmoil. I was no longer in control of my life and I didn’t know which way to turn. I felt like a hamster in a cage. The faster my legs went, the less distance I seemed to travel".
Aishwarya Rai Sought Over Customs Offence
Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai is being sought by Indian customs officials who want to quiz her about a seized a parcel addressed to her, containing 23,000 Euros in cash.
The packet was discovered in Mumbai last month (Oct06) and the cash – worth $30,000 (£16,600) – found inside.
It violated customs laws because no reference to the money was made on a declaration form on the packet. It is also illegal to receive more than 5,000 Rupees ($110/£58/84 Euros) by post.
Officials will question the former Miss World next week (begs20Nov06) to discover if she was aware of the package – sent by a unnamed man in the Netherlands.
The offence is punishable with a maximum sentence of three years in prison and a fine
Garner Is A Healthy Mum
Alias beauty Jennifer Garner insists she slimmed down after childbirth by breastfeeding, because she had no intention of abandoning her daughter to hit the gym.
Garner, who is married to Hollywood heart-throb Ben Affleck, gave birth to Violet in December last year (05) and refused to put her child at risk by exhausting her body with an intense exercise regime.
The 34-year-old says, “(I lost weight) breastfeeding! That and a moderate exercise and eating plan with the help of my personal trainer.
“I wasn’t about to jump on the celebrity mum bandwagon of getting super-skinny, super-quickly.
“I am more concerned about keeping healthy and spending time with Violet than anything else”.
Jordan launches her own line of lingerie
Katie Price aka Jordan continues to stand around semi-nude to launch her new line of lingerie designed for women with larger breasts (natural or not). They will be initially available in D-G cup sizes which, from what I gather, is her attempt to corner the stripper and prostitute/call girl market. Her line is going to be sold exclusively by George of Asda in Las Vegas.
Pamela Anderson pretends to write
Pamela Anderson has posted some ramblings in her website regarding the incident between Denise Richards, some paparazzi and a couple of injured old ladies:
“Can’t believe set is surrounded by loser paparazzi – not Canadian – all American and European…Leave us alone!!! They are being super idiots!!! Yelling rude stuff. They need to really go home! What is the big deal? All these big hairy men attacking us girls. A-holes!!!
Things are silly here in Vancouver. We’re innocently shooting our movie! So many photographers and creepy camera phones…This is Canada – it can’t be Canadians. Paparazzi were shouting out “no wonder you can’t keep a relationship together” to Denise. Denise walked up to them. They threatened her and something happened. A computer bounced off the floor and pieces went everywhere, from what I hear. Thank god no one was hurt. I didn’t see it as I was too busy yelling at my producer for something else that got leaked out in press. Normally I don’t care but I feel protective of Denise – I can relate. If it were me I would’ve thrown the photographers over the edge- they got lucky.
Meanwhile the movie is super hot. We already have a 1,200 theatre release date around May 25th. Very exciting….The crew is always cracking up and so am I – hard to keep a straight face. The Farrelly’s are hysterical. And cute! Anyway. I’ll keep up my diary. Really the show is behind the scenes….ha”

Jude Dumped Sienna Because of Her Partying
This time around, it was Jude Law who called off his rocky relationship with Sienna Miller claims Page Six.
"She was just too wild for him," said an insider. "She partied too much. He is a devoted father of four children and she always wanted to go out constantly. He was just done with her."
Miller, 24, dumped Law, 33, the first time around, breaking off their engagement in the summer of 2005 when he confessed to having an affair with his children’s nanny, Daisy Wright.
After the publication of Wright’s diaries, which detailed her three-month fling with the actor, the two parted ways and Miller took up briefly with her Camille costar James Franco.
The on-off couple reunited again last May, but are now over for good, according to friends of the duo.
Reps for Miller and Law declined to comment on the couple’s latest split.
Katie Spends $3,000 on Honeymoon Lingerie
The real story isn’t Katie Holmes‘ Armani-designed wedding dress, but what she’ll be wearing on her wedding night.
According to MSNBC’s The Scoop, Tom Cruise’s fiancée recently hit La Bra Lingerie in West Hollywood and spent over $3,000 on lacy intimates, more than $1,000 of which was for a "bridal collection" set.
Holmes, 27, picked up the Chantilly lace bridal collection, which includes a bra that cost $440, a $340 thong, a garter belt for $220, and silk stockings that went for $95 —for a total of $1,190.
Additionally, the bride-to-be nabbed a silk nightgown and a matching robe trimmed with ostrich feathers that set her back $620, a lace bra decorated with Swarovski crystals for $380 and matching thong with crystals for $175, as well as two sets of silk pajamas and matching robes at $425 each.
"They weren’t all white — and they certainly weren’t virginal," a source told The Scoop. "But she’s a mom, so I guess that’s appropriate."
