Angelina’s guards upset Mumbai school
Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s bodyguards got into a scuffle with the parents of a local Mumbai school, even as shooting for her film, A Mighty Heart, got disrupted. Trouble erupted when the actress reached Anjuman-E-Islam school at noon Thursday for the film shoot, which clashed with the time school students were about to leave for home. Parents were at first amused to see Angelina shooting in the school premises, and said that they were not informed about the shooting. "There was chaos and confusion," Shainaz Khan, a parent, said. "The school premises was restricted to us and we could not find our children after school got over. Angelina’s bodyguard abused many of us, including women, and some of them also passed racist comments like ‘You bloody Indian.’ It was humiliating." The film unit had apparently set up a Pakistani police station inside the school premises. Angelina is expected to leave for Pune by the weekend, to complete her shooting there. A Mighty Heart is based on the life of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was killed by terrorists in 2002. The general secretary of Parent and Teacher Association Mohammad Yusuf Patni said that the children were shocked to see people dressed as Pakistani policemen in the school. "The actors were holding guns and children were scared to see them," Patni said. "They had converted one room into a police station. The school authorities did not even inform us about the shoot. The bodyguards did not show any mercy towards women, and pushed them too. How could the management give permission to shoot when the children were in school? People were abused by Angelina’s bodyguards. It was quite shameful." When rediff.com contacted President of Anjuman-I-Islam, Sami Khatib, he downplayed the issue by stating that it was a minor one. "Everything is over now. There is no big issue," Khatib stated, adding, "We had taken all the necessary permission for the shoot." At the time of reporting, Angelina was still shooting for the film and parents of students were demanding an apology from her bodyguards.
Pitt-Jolie Wax-Museum Wedding Is Canceled
The wax-figure versions of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have their own wax Shiloh, but they won’t be having a wax wedding.
Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has scuttled a plan to mount an exhibit depicting a Pitt-Jolie wedding after a rep for Pitt protested, spokespeople for the actor and the museum told the Associated Press.
"I personally found it a little odd that they were re-creating a wedding that never really happened," Pitt’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti, said. "As Brad’s representative, I found it disturbing."
Guagenti said that Pitt, who is in India with Jolie and their three children filming A Mighty Heart, didn’t know about the Tussauds plan.
Adrian Jones, general manager of Madame Tussauds at Las Vegas’s Venetian resort, said in a statement: "Since Madame Tussauds enjoys excellent relationships with the celebrity community, we made our own decision not to create the wedding scene."
The display was set to be unveiled on Wednesday. Had it appeared, it would have included George Clooney as best man and, as guests, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Liberace, John Wayne, Ben Affleck and gangster Bugsy Siegel, according to the AP.
The "wedding" was designed to introduce the Las Vegas wax figure of Jolie (the New York City branch of Madame Tussauds already has both Pitt and Jolie figures, as well as a likeness of baby Shiloh). Jolie’s figure will still debut on Wednesday – only not in a wedding dress.
For the record, Pitt told Esquire in October, "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."
Angelina Jolie Provides Live Entertainment for India’s Commuters

Not that we don’t appreciate it, because it makes our job easier, but do we really need both of our major wire services reporting that Angelina Jolie got on a train in India and – gasp — it was crowded? Of course we do!
The Associated Press AND Reuters want you to know that Jolie and actor Dan Futterman surprised commuters Monday when they stood in line for tickets and boarded a crowded compartment of a Mumbai train for a scene in their film A Mighty Heart.
Curious and disbelieving passengers yelled Jolie’s name and jostled for a view of the sultry actress – clad in a green T-shirt and khaki trousers — but were kept at bay by four of her bodyguards. Passengers seeking autographs were not allowed near Jolie. There was no police security for the shooting.
Suburban trains are used by some six million commuters every day, many of whom travel by hanging from the door-less coaches during rush hour.
The actors later filmed street scenes walking near the Gateway of India, a popular tourist destination in downtown Mumbai, and then shot some scenes inside a local hair salon and restaurant.
In the film, Futterman plays Daniel Pearl, an American journalist who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002, and Jolie plays his wife Mariane.
