Kutcher can’t stand water!

Ashton Kutcher stars as a buff lifeguard in the movie The Guardian costarring Kevin Costner. One small problem in the shooting is Kutcher can’t stand water.

“I don’t like water and being in it,” Kutcher confessed to Britain’s Sunday Express. “As a kid growing up I learned to swim but it wasn’t real swimming it was only doggy paddling.”

Shooting this film was a case of being forced to face ones fears. Since shooting required the him to be submerged in water for up to nine hours a day. “You get unbelievably cold and it’s the hardest thing I’ve done,” he said. “When I started swimming in the ocean, I was throwing up constantly but I made myself keep going. Every time I threw up, I’d go back in and swim more.”
