Pitt-Jolie Wax-Museum Wedding Is Canceled

Pitt-Jolie Wax-Museum Wedding Is Canceled | Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt The wax-figure versions of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have their own wax Shiloh, but they won’t be having a wax wedding.

Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has scuttled a plan to mount an exhibit depicting a Pitt-Jolie wedding after a rep for Pitt protested, spokespeople for the actor and the museum told the Associated Press.

"I personally found it a little odd that they were re-creating a wedding that never really happened," Pitt’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti, said. "As Brad’s representative, I found it disturbing."

Guagenti said that Pitt, who is in India with Jolie and their three children filming A Mighty Heart, didn’t know about the Tussauds plan.

Adrian Jones, general manager of Madame Tussauds at Las Vegas’s Venetian resort, said in a statement: "Since Madame Tussauds enjoys excellent relationships with the celebrity community, we made our own decision not to create the wedding scene."

The display was set to be unveiled on Wednesday. Had it appeared, it would have included George Clooney as best man and, as guests, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Liberace, John Wayne, Ben Affleck and gangster Bugsy Siegel, according to the AP.

The "wedding" was designed to introduce the Las Vegas wax figure of Jolie (the New York City branch of Madame Tussauds already has both Pitt and Jolie figures, as well as a likeness of baby Shiloh). Jolie’s figure will still debut on Wednesday – only not in a wedding dress.

For the record, Pitt told Esquire in October, "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."
