The 43 year old star of Pirates of the Caribbean has told entertainmentwise.com: “I won’t last in film much after I turn 50. People go on about how well I look for my age, but what happens when it all drops? I could end up as the Cliff Richard of film.”

Despite his fear of his sex symbol status fading, his latest movie has proved that he is still one of the most desired men in the entertainment arena, with thousands of women chasing him all over the United States wherever he dares show up.

Johnny Depp is moving homes again – this time to a private desert island where he’ll raise his family. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star is relocating from France to an island in the Bahamas, purchased in 2004.

Depp wants his French partner Vanessa Paradis and children Lily-Rose Melody, 7 and Jack, 4, to be able to enjoy a peaceful way of life and he feels the remote home will be the ideal spot. In a recent interview, Depp said, “It’s so beautiful there, so peaceful, free and relaxed. We want to spend a lot more time there in the future because it’s a completely different way of life.”
